FOUNDATION — Your first portfolio

In the COMPASS guide you learned why you invest, with which tools and with which system. One question was left open, the most personal one of the journey: what does your own portfolio look like? How much in stocks, how much in bonds, which indices, in what proportion? And how do all these pieces form a whole that will hold up in the hard periods too?

This guide is the foundations. It will not hand you "the perfect portfolio", because no such thing exists. A portfolio is not a product; it is a decision fitted to one specific person: you. It will give you something better: the method to design, on your own, a structure that is simple, cheap and resilient, so that you understand at every step what you are doing and why.
